Description:

• Assist estimating department with pre-bid planning, productions, and field experience related to upcoming projects as requested
• Assist Project Manager in preparing detailed schedule and maintaining schedule throughout the project
• Prepare work sequence with detailed plan of attack utilizing work crews as efficiently as possible prior to mobilization
• Read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications
• Oversee field manpower and subcontractors
• Monitor production, resource utilization and overall job cost vs. estimated cost to maintain profit margin on projects
• Control the job site for labor, equipment, material, and services
• Responsible for general and specific safety practices, following company safety manual procedures, and cooperating with our safety representative in a positive pro-active manner

Aptitude/Abilities/Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in the excavating and heavy civil construction industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or significant work experience) preferred
• Must be willing and able to travel
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Safety oriented
