Description:

 Mechanical Engineer

Location: Des Moines, IA

Salary: $120,000-$165,000

Responsibilities:

·         Manage schedules, budgets, and day-to-day communication for the projects.

·         Communicate with the design team, account managers, estimators, construction team, and client.

·         Prepare detailed and accurate fee proposals and engineering budgets.

·         Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for other divisions of the Company.

·         Write technical reports and engineering studies including condition assessments and energy studies.

·         Site surveying and troubleshooting building systems.

·         Size, select, and specify appropriate equipment and materials for the projects.

·         Create permits and construction documents that are accurate, complete, and code compliant.

·         Coordinate scopes of work with sub-contractors and other trade partners

·         Actively participate in construction administration activities (e.g. submittal review, RFI responses, punch lists, and attendance at construction meetings)

·         Actively engage with other members of the company to continually improve processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

·         BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

·         5-10+ years of experience in industry

·         AutoCAD

·         Design of building HVAC

·         Revit

·         Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S
