We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Intermodal Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze data to optimize routes and schedules.

Duties

• Manage daily dispatch operations, including scheduling and routing of shipments.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide instructions and updates.
• Analyze data related to shipping and receiving to improve efficiency in operations.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Stay updated on industry trends, including GIS technologies, to enhance dispatching processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in intermodal dispatching.
• Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and clients.
• Ability to analyze data for route optimization and operational improvements.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and third-party logistics (3PL) operations is a plus.
• Proficient in using various phone systems and technology tools relevant to dispatching tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
