Civil Estimator/ Project Manager
Eastern PA’s
leading site preparation specialist is looking for a talented and experienced
Heavy Civil Estimator / Project Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to join their
dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and
specifications to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive
cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including earthwork, utilities,
roads, and other infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with the bid team to
develop winning strategies for project proposals.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs
and solicit competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assume project management
responsibilities for awarded projects, overseeing their successful
execution from initiation to completion.
- Develop and manage project budgets,
ensuring financial targets are met.
- Collaborate with project teams to
establish and track project schedules and milestones.
- Implement effective communication
strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about project progress.
- Cultivate and maintain strong
relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts with
subcontractors and vendors to ensure favorable terms, conditions, and
pricing.
- Monitor subcontractor performance
and address any issues promptly.
- Identify and assess potential risks
associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends,
regulatory changes, and best practices in heavy civil construction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator with a
minimum of 4 years in the industry.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and project
management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction
processes, materials, and methods.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
is a plus but not required.
