Civil Estimator/ Project Manager


Eastern PA’s leading site preparation specialist is looking for a talented and experienced Heavy Civil Estimator / Project Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to join their dynamic team.

 

Responsibilities:

    • Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential opportunities and risks.
    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including earthwork, utilities, roads, and other infrastructure components.
    • Collaborate with the bid team to develop winning strategies for project proposals.
    • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and solicit competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Assume project management responsibilities for awarded projects, overseeing their successful execution from initiation to completion.
    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
    • Collaborate with project teams to establish and track project schedules and milestones.
    • Implement effective communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about project progress.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors to ensure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.
    • Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly.
    • Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in heavy civil construction.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator with a minimum of 4 years in the industry.
  • Strong proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Thorough understanding of heavy civil construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus but not required.
